Ina Garten's Panko Crusted Salmon

All with all things Ina Garten, this fish is delicious. Easy, full of flavor and with ingredients you probably already have. This recipe created a crispy salmon skin and crunch panko crust.

Salmon Souvlaki Bowls

I made this recipe one night when I wanted to attempt a healthier dinner after a few days of eating terribly. I found this recipe and thought the idea of a "bowl" for dinner sounded great. Though couscous is not exactly the healthiest thing, it's still better than lots of other options- and this was delicious. I set up a build-it-yourself style dinner with all the bowl condiments in a line and everyone built their bowls how they preferred them. Personally I love tzatziki and would use more than most people, so I made more than the recipe asks for. You can't ruin this recipe and feel free to adjust based on your preferences. The fish turns out very flavorsome and your can grill it to your preferred level of doneness (I like mine still slightly rare on the inside).

Lantana's Honey-Ginger Salmon

This salmon recipe is packed with flavor! The ingredients combine some classic Asian ingredients (hoisin sauce) with Latin ingredients (chipotle chilies). A few years ago I was making salmon fairly regularly, and for some reason I just got tired of it. This recipe has reminded me why salmon makes such a great dinner option. This is a great weeknight dinner option since it's very simple and quick to make. The restaurant which created this recipe, located on the British Virgin Islands, serves these with banana fritters. As delicious as that sounds, I have always enjoyed this salmon with just about any side dish.

Salmon Cakes with Lemon-Caper Yogurt Sauce

Years ago I watched a cooking show where 2 contestants made salmon cakes and I was intrigued ever since then. Somehow the idea of salmon cakes went on the back burner until last week, when I realized there was still some salmon in the freezer that needed using up. I don't love the flavor of frozen salmon as much of that as fresh salmon, so I wanted a recipe that would make the salmon flavor less apparent. Then I started researching different salmon burger and salmon cake recipes. I didn't want to have to buy a bunch of spices that I didn't already have, and I didn't want to make patties that were filled with tons of different veggies.

I loved the idea of the sauce that Giada used with her salmon cakes, but didn't love all of the fillings she used. I wanted to keep the flavors slightly Mediterranean (though I would not consider this a Mediterranean recipe). I love dill and decided I wanted to add it to my recipe. If you're not a dill fan, you can scale it back or omit it completely and these would still be good. I started on these pretty late at night and didn't read over the step where they need to be chilled for an hour. At that point I was starving, so I decided I'd cook the salmon cakes the next afternoon for lunch. They held their shape well overnight and tasted great the next day. Serve these immediately, as with all fried food, for the best flavor.

Salmon with Lemon, Capers, and Rosemary

My local grocery store has finally started selling fish! This is a pretty exciting moment for me since I love fish and haven't had any in months. I grabbed a couple pieces of salmon and started looking for a recipe that I could make with ingredients I had at home. Last time I tried a salmon recipe from Giada De Laurentiis I was really happy with the result, so I looked through some of her other ones. I found this one and got started.

This recipe is one of those easy salmon recipes most people will enjoy. You pretty much season the salmon, top it with the ingredients, and wrap it in foil. You could change some of the ingredients if they don't appeal to you. I might also add some chopped kalamata olives on top of my salmon next time I make this. I didn't have Marsala wine at home when I made this and used whatever was open in the fridge (which was nothing too fancy). I also did not grill my fish, tanks to an afternoon rain shower. Instead I just baked the foil-wrapped fish in the oven.

Herb and Mustard Glazed Salmon

Some nights, after a long day, I only have energy and patience to make a quick, simple dinner. On those nights, fish is a great way to go since it cooks quickly and can taste delicious with little effort. I like to try out different salmon recipes when I can, and this one sounded like it would be a winner. If you have a food processor or blender, the glaze takes no time at all to make, then all you have to do is broil the fish.

The combination of the garlic, herbs, and mustard make this salmon really flavorful, and just a little but sharp. It tastes like it should have taken lots of hard work to make, but it's the exact opposite. Prep time is 10 minutes, and then it only take about 7 minutes to cook. My dad, who is not a big fan of salmon, loved this recipe and surprised himself when he realized he liked a salmon dish. The salmon I used still had the skin on it, that way it is easier to lift off the baking sheet when it comes out of the oven. The skin sticks to the aluminum foil and the filet slides off easily. I also only used whole grain mustard in the glaze, but add the Dijon if you want.

Asian Grilled Salmon

When I was searching for a grilled salmon recipe a couple days ago, this is the first one that I came across. I kept looking around and read lots of others, but came back to this one. It uses really basic ingredients, and aside from the salmon, I usually have everything else in my kitchen (or whichever kitchen I may be cooking in). I also tend to have luck with Ina Garten recipes and love the food she creates.

This salmon comes together really quickly for a last minute meal. The marinade is a great combination of flavors that makes this salmon stand out from other fast and easy salmon recipes. It tastes like it would have taken much more time to put this together, but all you need are 20 minutes (including grill time). I made this with a salad and some grilled corn for a perfect summertime dinner. You can serve this with extra marinade on top or just the way it is from the grill. Either way, it is delicious, flavorful and definitely worth your time.

Dill Rubbed Salmon

When I was a kid, I could not stand salmon. I thought it was one of the most horrible foods in the world and refused to eat it in any form. Luckily, my taste buds have grown to love almost all foods these days, and salmon can be one of my favorite light dinners. I find it really filling without weighing you down or making you feel like you need an instant nap. Having just finished back-to-back Passover Seders, I can confidently say I am a master of food comas, and the instant nap feeling that happens to me after any massive meal. This salmon will not do that to you (unless you eat it along with some chicken, brisket, asparagus, and eggplant).

My one contribution to the Seder, aside from chopping lots of vegetables, was preparing the salmon. This is a salmon recipe that tastes great year round and is so easy to make that you can have it any night of the week. It goes well with a salad or some roasted potatoes if you want to keep it simple. It looks really impressive too since it's one huge piece of fish, so it is the perfect dish to serve to company (as long as they like salmon).

If you want to make this for fewer people or can't find a large piece of salmon, you could always use individual fillets of fish and reduce the baking time. If you're unsure whether your fish is cooked or not, take a fork to it and see if the fish flakes without you forcing it. If it does, then it's ready.
